This qualification reflects the role of an early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. This program provides professional knowledge and skills to plan and implement appropriate care and educational experiences for young children. This is a practical-based learning program, where students will also develop skills, knowledge and understanding of relative legal and ethical requirements, strategies and approaches to engage with young children and their families, methods and knowledge to facilitate children's interests, as well as knowledge and skills to foster holistic development and well-being.
• IELTS score of 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or equivalent
• Be over 18 years of age
• Working with children check
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
52 Weeks
• Scheduled structured training for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Undertake compulsory work placement of 280 hours
• Record and reflect on the training activities using a Practical Placement Journal
Graduates completing this program will develop the skills and knowledge to pursue roles within:
• Early Childhood Educator
• Early Childhood Educator - Team Leader
• Family - Daycare Coordinator
• Childcare Service Director
After completing the course, students can continue to study for a Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education.
